Your Cooking and Sailing Vacation
On your Cooking and Sailing Vacation, under Fernando's instruction, you will learn to cook aromatic Caribbean food and sauces, using locally grown ingredients which Fernando will purchase on your tour of the local, colourful markets.
You will be cooking 8 meals on your Cooking and Sailing Vacation. He will also show you how to make the best sauces, rum punch, pina coladas and daqueries. 2 evening meals and 2 lunches will be eaten on shore at recommended local restaurants where you will have the chance to experience alternative local food.
On your first day, Fernando will serve you with lunch and dinner and a delightful breakfast each morning.

2 tours of local markets in St.Lucia and Martinique.
A tour of the growing areas.
a short sailing trip to anchor between the famous and magnificent Pitons which are close by the rain forest and the volcano in St.Lucia.
a sailing trip to Marigot Bay which is reputed to be one of if not the most beautiful bays in the caribbean.
a sail to Martinique which takes 3 /4 hours AND IS WELL WORTH A VISIT however you may change the itinery to suit your own sailing preferences.

Our Charter Yacht in the Caribbean 'Calliope of Arne' has 4 guest cabins to sleep up to 8 guests Two cabins have double berths, the other 2 have single berths. There is ample hanging and locker space in each cabin.

Geri, from England spent many years sailing in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, she also learnt to make sails in St.Thomas, Virgin Islands. She gained her captain's licence from the RYA in the UK.
Fernando gained his experience and knowledge of international cuisine as a chef on yachts for the rich and famous whilst sailing the Mediterranean and Caribbean Seas when he became well known for his cooking expertise. He won several awards for the best charter boat chef. He has also owned restaurants in the Virgin Islands and in Engalnd.
From Calliope’s well equipped galley Fernando will thrill and delight you with the tastes and aroma of exquisite Caribbean cooking from his varied and tantalising menu.
